Rising on the Capitoline Hill on the piazza designed by Michelangelo. In the seventh century a monastery was erected here and in the 12th century a church with one of the most spectacular staircases (122 stairs) and panoramic views over all of Rome. Attached to the church is the Capitoline Hill which overlooks the Roman Forum. The piazza designed by Michelangelo with the Senatorial Palace on each side is superlative in design and views. Wedding photos here are simply incredible, particularly in black and white.
